How to get here
You can get to Monasterium PoortAckere easily by public transport.
From the Netherlands
- Bus 50 Middelburg-Terneuzen-Gent (Connection) = Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year 4 times a day in both directions. Get off at the "Gent-Zuid" stop. It is approximately one block away from the hotel.
- Bus 6 Terneuzen Busstation WST-Zelzate Klein Rusland (Connection), bus 55 Zelzate Klein Rusland-Gent-Sint-Pieters (De Lijn) = 1 each hour daily (Tip: if you get off at the Gent Sint-Jacobs stop you can get to the hotel by foot.)
The tram 1 stop for the city centre is located at the entrance of the Gent-Sint-Pieters station (direction: Korenmarkt/Wondelgem/Evergem). Cards can be bought at the automatic ticket machine situated on the tram platform (coins: € 3.00). Get off at the "Korte Meer" or "Korenmarkt" tram stop. If you are travelling in a group or if you plan to use the tram and/or bus often during your stay in Ghent, it is worth buying a "Lijnkaart" card (€ 14.00 = 14 journeys at € 1.40 = one journey is equivalent to 60 minutes of unlimited transport by bus or tram) at the Lijnwinkel shop situated in Sint-Pieters station.
It takes 35 minutes to get to our hotel from the Gent-Sint-Pieters station on foot. Take the street that tram 1 goes along, turn onto Koningin Elisabethlaan street and go straight ahead.
At the entrance of the Gent-Sint-Pieters station you will find taxis waiting.
Monasterium PoortAckere has two parking lots with room for 50 vehicles. The barrier opens automatically when you approach the parking lot to enter.
Parking costs € 15.00 per vehicle per night.
It is not possible to reserve a parking space.
If our parking lots are full, you can park in the "Ramen" (P8) or "Sint-Michiels" (P7) underground parking lots. They are just 300 metres away from our hotel.
